I really do not like the controls, why ESDF and not the traditional WASD? Doesn't really make sense to me. Some of the buttons aren't working in game, like at the end of the tutorial fight when It asked if I wanted 10,000 or something else, neither option worked.

Diogo-NullMoon responds:

Thanks for sharing, I was lazy not to put it in WASD, the unlock screens have two options, 10000 coins or a countdown clock, if neither option is free I would have to use the back option, I agree that it is not intuitive.

Nice simple game. It's a bit hard to see some of the obstacles, but I guess that could be on purpose to add difficulty. I think it'd be nice to have an explanation for some of the power ups, some are obvious but others like the wilting clover didn't noticeably do anything. Also the feather glitches the screen and causes me to die every time I get it. Hope to see you continue working on it. you've got the basics down.

JumptoJumpCompany responds:

Hi,

Yes, we made some obstacles hard to spot, but we have plans to change those obstacles a bit.
And the rest of your comment we'll noted it for the next version.

Thanks for your feedback!

The running does look daintier, but honestly her raptor run was still cute. All the changes you described seemed very subtle after playing, which is a relief because the original was already perfect in my opinion. As always, I absolutely love your hand drawn in robust detail style. It adds so much depth to every game of yours I've played, and I think the Daymare series really emphasized your style the most out of what you've posted on Newgrounds.
After seeing other reviews: right clicking and selecting fullscreen that way works.

Side note: Slice of Sea is excellent by the way, I was happy to see it in a similar style to Daymare town with it's own unique qualities, and with some of Daymare Towns best qualities drawn out and perfected even more!

Mateusz-Skutnik responds:

Thanks!
Changes are subtle, because I'm preparing to add that game into the daymare town remaster for steam, where it will get a proper redesign, especially in the platforming engine. So there was no point in making a coding revolution here. :D

I can only see half the grid, looks like most of the screen is below the camera

DeviousStudios responds:

you can scroll down

It loaded, but then after pressing start I'm just getting a black screen. Chrome based browser

KrishnaVA responds:

yeah that happens

It looks interesting in concept. It took me about 10 rooms before one of the monsters showed up, so I had no idea what I was doing for a while. I couldn't figure out the point of the flashlight, it didn't seem to illuminate and I couldn't find a button to turn it on and off. I did press 1 and it showed in my hand, but didn't seem to be on. The monsters all give a warning sound, so it's a bit too easy to hide in time, and for the first monster, I eventually figured out I had enough time to go to the next room before it showed up so I just ignored it. I kept getting money, and couldn't figure out what to do with it, I guess it's just how the game keeps score by how much time you spend alive? I got to floor 30 and gave up, more monsters showed up, but I feel like you need more to do or more challenge to keep the player interested. Hope you keep working on it.

sunkymg responds:

the farther you go, the darker the rooms get, that's the point of the flashlight.

I'm not sure how it's supposed to work. At first I thought I had to align the hook with the mouth, but that didn't work, but when I held down and made the hook as large as possible, it caught all the fish, but I never got any coins, also the Shop button doesn't work. When seeing it, I thought this was going to be like the fishing minigame in the old Links Awakening for GBC, and thought expanding on that would have been cool. Keep working on it man, I think the basic concept works, and is a good project to learn and grow on.

OliverGamesNG responds:

this project is in beta im still working on it sorry if u ran into bugs things are undermaintence at the moment

I already registered for this site, I'm not registering again for a game. Anyone can upload here and I don't trust you with my email address.

FialaGames responds:

Alright, that’s fine. 😊 Since the deck, scores, and everything in the game are tied to a profile stored in the database, registration is necessary so I can save players’ data.

I think there's an issue with the view, I don't see the tank until I make it jump, like the camera or whatever is too high up. I'm using a chrome browser.

Arthurbem responds:

yup fixed that camera being smoll problem

Why not use the NG leaderboard?

Sarautulu responds:

how do I use it?
