Off the bat, in game it says the controls are WASD/arrow with Shit to run and Space to select, but in the first room those weren't working and I had to click to move around, in the second room WASD doesn't work but arrows and clicking do. I found the character menu by accidently right clicking, and it took me a bit to figure out that right clicking again backs out of the menu.
I think just putting all the controls in the description would help.
In the second room where you select a person and a class, my character walked up the wall on the far right side and was able to walk behind that top wall.
The art style and atmosphere look great, and I'm already interested to learn more about the plot. But I select my character and class and I don't seem to be able to leave the second room. In the description where you say "It's Barley a "Game"." does that mean this is all I can do so far?

CalXate responds:

The issues should now be resolved. The game should start properly, allowing you to explore the world after selecting your character. As for the WASD movement issue, it was caused by a missing plugin, but it’s been installed now. Thanks again for your feedback!

Literally just frogger with a chicken.

Porkotyler responds:

No returns or refunds I'm afraid. It's corporate policy. All jokes aside though I'm not Hideo Kojima dropping my latest $70 masterpiece with PlayStation, I'm just a Newgrounds user looking to practice my skills and keep an archive of the results. In this project I wanted to experiment with the UI and leaderboards more than the actual game so I needed something fast and simple with frogger being the perfect option for mindless gameplay.

are there not supposed to be controls?
response: I keep trying the arrows and nothings happening.

ZabuJard responds:

It's arrow keys man

Clicking the screen doesn't lock it, so when you move, the entire screen does as well making the game unplayable.

yes i know. Sometimes i do remaster version

Took me a while to figure out what to do after collecting the ingredients, and I started out not having much fun. But once I figured out what to do with the cake layers, and how to avoid the box goblins better, it got better. I didn't expect it to be as challenging as it is. It's a nice game to see how long you can go, and it's an interesting take on the original Donkey Kong style of platforming. You should consider adding the Newgrounds scoreboard, I'd like to see how I'm doing compared to others.

JamesTDG responds:

I've been nudging the idea, I know the API integration should be easy at least

ImmanentDeath responds:

If I can ever wrap my head around the Newgrounds API, I would love to add scoreboards to all my games.

I don't like when games auto fullscreen when pressing a button that doesn't indicate it's going to make it fullscreen, but that's just a personal preference. And normally I can just esc fullscreen and move on with the game. But this game puts it back into full screen every time I restart after dying, it's super extra annoying and it's super disruptive to the game play.

Other than that the game itself is really cool. It's challenging in a good way, I like games that make you think quickly and test your reflexes. Although, I think the fire rate should be increased, or the moving blocks should slow down a bit. Maybe there are some powerups I haven't gotten to yet but I'm hoping there is a way to increase the fire rate later on. Alternatively, it would be nice if the still blocks only killed you while they are sliding. I like that I restart the level quickly after death, I hate when games make you go through the same intro screen every time you die, and this game transitions nicely. The art and chill music are cool, I dig the aesthetic. The story is simple but stays interesting, and I like the interactions along the way, they keep you invested in the plot and overall world your character's in. other than the gameplay itself, it feels a lot like a dark Undertale vibe, including the sprite looking a lot like a teenage boy version of Frisk.

rcab responds:

Hey! Really sorry about this. I think there's a specific bug happening with the NG website. I just updated the build and disabled the fullscreen function! Hope this will be less frustrating. Thanks!

Why did you need a team of 5 people to make this? Did y'all just sit around and smoke weed?

WackyAnimation responds:

only on the third attempt
